What is luck anyway?
“success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions.” - dictionary.com
I had the wonderful privilege of witnessing luck on our vacation this year and I was reminded that luck isn’t luck, but really a unique ability to manifest one’s life.
We enjoyed an incredible vacation on a cruise ship this summer exploring the Mediterranean. Visiting ports in France, Italy and Greece that I had never been to before was an enriching experience! A little hot for me this time of year, yet amazing all the same. 🥵
Yet my observation of luck, aka manifestation was on the cruise ship with my 17 year old daughter, who has been ‘winning’ things all her life.
Many would call her lucky. I call her a manifester.
There was a flyer about a jewelry show where you could learn more about diamonds. She asked me to go and I said ‘sure, why not.’ Eventually, she shared that there was a drawing for free jewelry. A-ha, now I knew why she wanted to go. 😊. She likes to win things and she’s been doing it all her life!
We go to the show and we fill out our slip of paper. She went up and put our names in the bucket. The show goes on and they share that there will be 3 prizes. They draw the first one... not us. Then they get to the point where they are drawing the second one. It’s a diamond necklace. She gets excited. As he picks up the bucket, I lean over to her and I say ‘Visualize it. See your name getting pulled.’ He picked a name and we both knew it was hers becuase we could see the long name on the piece of paper. We both started laughing and he read her name and she had won the necklace! 💠
She was simply thrilled and so excited to win. I was reminded that I’ve seen her like this many times. School events, summer camp, you name it, she’s won it. It was pure joy to be in the energy of the win and her joy of having won. She’s one lucky person, right?
I started pondering this winning skill she has and I realized it’s simply manifestation in action. I spent some time talking with her and asking her about winning. When we got down to the root of her beliefs...
She expects to WIN. Always. She doesn’t doubt, she just expects the win!
I was like... you’re a brilliant manifester! You can use this skill to manifest in other areas of your life, not just contests. This ability to believe unconditionally that you will win is a gift. Like truly, it’s a gift.
In fact as I’m sitting here writing this article, she comes in and asked me if I want a notebook. She had won it in the college workshop she want to this morning. There were three prizes, so she filled out her name and she won 1 of the 3 prizes. Are you kidding me? Again?!?
She won again!
I asked her what she thought when she wrote her name down. She said ‘I might win something.’ And she did!
The question is... do you expect to win? Do you expect things in your life?
If not, why not?
Manifesting in its simplest form is the unconditional belief and expectation that you will receive what you need and desire.
This childlike perspective that she has brought forth from her childhood about winning is allowing her to continue to manifest winning in her life. Can you bring that forth?
In honor of her inspiration, I picked up this bracelet near the end of our trip. It’s the morse code for ‘lucky’ and it’s a reminder to me to embrace luck and claim the joy of manifestation.
Be lucky!
Be a manifester!
Be in joy!
